Meet Fran
A qualified person-centred counsellor offering a warm, relaxed and confidential space in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands.
🌷 A Little About Me
I'm a qualified person-centred counsellor with around eight years' experience supporting adults and couples through anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, ADHD, identity and life transitions. I offer a warm, relaxed and confidential counselling space from my home, where we can take the time to explore whatever is bringing you to counselling.
🕊️ My approach
I believe that sometimes life can feel a little easier when you have someone alongside you who genuinely listens, without judgement, without trying to fix you, and without telling you how you should feel.
My approach is person-centred, which means you are the expert in your own life. I won't tell you what to do or give you advice, but will instead offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can speak freely and be yourself. I'll walk alongside you, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Most importantly, I want my counselling space to feel like somewhere you can take off the mask, breathe, and just be yourself. If you've found your way here, something in your life may not feel quite right, or perhaps you're ready to understand yourself a little more deeply.
💚 My Particular Interests
ADHD and neurodiversity
Supporting women diagnosed with ADHD later in life, or beginning to recognise themselves in an ADHD or neurodivergent experience. A late diagnosis can bring relief and clarity, alongside questions about the past. It can be an opportunity to make sense of yourself with a little more kindness.
Perimenopause and menopause
These stages can affect far more than hormones. Shifts in mood, confidence, identity and relationships can sometimes leave you feeling unfamiliar to yourself, and I offer space to explore all of this without judgement.
Relationships
Whether you're struggling within a relationship, recovering from a difficult one, noticing repeated patterns, or simply trying to understand yourself and others a little better, counselling can offer space to pause and reflect.
Anxiety, self-esteem and life transitions
Support with anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, identity and the many transitions that life can bring.
🌿 A note from Fran
Over the years, I've supported people with trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bereavement, addiction, work stress, and family difficulties.
But people are never just a diagnosis or category.
You are a whole person, with your own story and reasons for being here.
If you're considering counselling but feel unsure, that's completely okay. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out.
You can simply start with a conversation.
And we can take it from there. 🌿

Please get in touch. You don't need to have everything figured out before you reach out. That's part of what counselling is for.
